Yesterday, November 25, 2016, successfully concluded the horror/fantasy film event The Optical Theatre Festival. The closing night was hosted in Room 5 of the Sisto Multiplex Cinema within the Fornaci Cinema Village of Frosinone. In the presence of artistic director Domiziano Cristopharo, the patroness of the evening Roberta Gemma, and some members of the jury such as Italian composer Marco Werba (composer for Dario Argento) and Italian screenwriter Antonio Tentori (former collaborator of Lucio Fulci), the trailers of all the films in competition were screened and then the winners were announced by Werba and Tentori themselves.
Thus, the following winning films will be screened as Italian premieres: Good Tidings (by Stuart W. Bedford) - "Best Feature Film; Frankenstein Created Bikers (by James Bickert) - "Best Trash Feature Film;Â Blattaria (by Thomas Pantalacci) - "Best Short Film" and Legend of Dark Rider: The Beginning (by Titus Paar) - "Best Bizarre Fantasy.
Throughout the evening there were also special mentions for the films Plank Face by Scott Schirmer and NSFW by C. A. Wallace as well as the awarding of the special "Best Horror Icon 2016" award to actor Laurence R. Harvey (The Human Centipede II, The Human Centipede III) and "Best Screenplay" for Slasher.com.
The three madmen disguised as Santa Claus (played by Stu Jopia, John Gentile and Liam W. Ashcroft) from Good Tidings Instead, they win the "Best Villain" award.
