Starting tomorrow October 19, 2016 saranno pubblicate online le selezioni ufficiali per l'edizione 2016 del The Optical Theatre Festival. The titles of the best works, as well as the names of the protagonists of this edition's films, will be announced in stages on DarkVeins.com (by clicking here, in Italian) and on iHORRORdb.com (in English). All nominations will then also be published on the partner website. Bloody-Disgusting.com.
The selected works, now in the final stage, will be evaluated by a prestigious international jury composed of: Adam Gierasch, Stephen Biro (Unearthed Films), Daniel De La Vega, Frank Laloggia, Antonio Tentori, Marco Werba, Jonathan Barkan, Ivan Zuccon, Leonardo Cruciano, Federico Frusciante, and Salvatore Alongi (One Seven Movies).
Now in its second edition, this event saw significant growth in the number of entries in 2016. Over 150 works (including feature films, short films, and trailers) were submitted to us from all over the world. Once again, the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom have shown that they know how to take advantage of the most interesting initiatives in the field of cinema. However, Italian and French participation was also surprising. Among others, let's not forget those who placed their trust in us from countries such as Iran, Egypt, Israel, and India, for example.
The Optical Theatre Festival 2016 però non è soltanto numeri ma soprattutto qualità . Selezionare le opere migliori è stato per noi un lavoro davvero molto difficile, spesso frutto di amare scelte conseguenti dure battaglie decisionali tra i selezionatori. Le nomination che andremo ad annunciare a partire dalla giornata di domani sono il risultato dell'impegno, del sacrificio e della dedizione della nostra squadra ma soprattutto il nostro contributo per quel tipo di cinematografia horror in cui crediamo. Siamo certi di aver scelto i migliori tra tutti e di aver fatto le giuste conclusioni. Amare ma giuste.
