Optical Theatre Festival 2017: Ruggero Deodato and the other jurors

theoptical2017The Optical Theatre Horror Film Festival giunge quest'anno alla sua terza edizione ed è già possibile iscrivere i propri film accedendo al official website or through FilmFreeway.
Organizzata dall’Associazione Culturale Dark Circle (iHORRORdb - DarkVeins), la suddetta rassegna cinematografica internazionale abbraccia l’horror ma anche il fantasy, il bizzarro e il grottesco. The Optical Theatre Horror Film Festival vede Domiziano Cristopharo in veste di Direttore Artistico. Il regista, assieme ad Antony Coia e Barbara Torretti, completa la rosa di selezionatori.
Quest'anno il festival si terrà a Rome in the month of November 2017.

The jury for this third edition consists of important names in the world of cinema, both international and Italian. Thus, among the jurors we have producers, directors, musicians, effectors and critics.

Di seguito i nomi dei giurati per l'Optical Theatre 2017:

- Ruggero Deodato: historic Italian director, screenwriter and actor known to most for directing such important cannibal movies as Last cannibal world in 1977 but especially the cult Cannibal Holocaust (1980), considerato tutt'ora uno dei film più brutali e controversi di tutti i tempi nonché il più gettonato del filone. Molto amato all'estero, Deodato è stato soprannominato "Monsieur Cannibal" in Francia.

- It still reconfirms itself Stephen Biro, founder of the Unearthed Films, casa di produzione che si occupa della distribuzione di film estremi. Biro è inoltre l'ideatore della saga “American Guinea Pig".

- Scott Martin: filmmaker, screenwriter and producer, and founder of the American distribution company Archstone Distribution, LLC and of the Archstone Pictures, LP;

- Antonio Tentori: a well-known Italian writer and screenwriter who in the past was responsible for the screenplays of several films by Lucio Fulci ("Demonia", "A Cat in the Brain"), Dario Argento ("Dracula 3D"), Bruno Mattei ("The island of the living dead", "Zombies: The Creation"), Sergio Stivaletti ("The three faces of terror"), Aristide Massaccesi ("Return from the dead - Frankenstein 2000");

- Michael Del Rossa: Special Effects makeup artist and producer originally from Rochester, NY, founded the Multivision Fx. With his special effects company he has intervened in such films as The Passion of the Christ, The Watchmen, 300, I Am Legend and Pirates of the Caribbean.

- Gregory Burkart: editor of Blumhouse.com but also a writer and musician for film, he has a 20-year career of collaborations with some of the leading international thematic websites behind him.

- Federico Frusciante, owner of the Videodrome video library in Livorno, founder of the production company Videodrome Industries and film critic.

- Chris Savage: a great fan of horror films, he is a historical editor for the international website Horror-Movies.ca, for which he writes news and film reviews.

The Festival is open to Feature Films, Short Films, Trailers, Trash Features and Trash Shorts.
