The winners of some categories of the The Optical Theatre Film Festival 2018 which is hosted this year, by the Oct. 6 to 7 in the Sala del Carmine, Via Garibaldi 16, Lugo (Ravenna).
Tomorrow, October 7, the famous Italian screenwriter Antonio Tentori will attend the Festival and the awards in the following categories will be announced: "Best Feature Film," "Horror Icon," and "Special Mention."
In this its fourth edition, theOptical Fest recorded hundreds of submissions (including features and shorts), works received from all over the world (Mexico, Finland, Spain, China, Norway, USA, Italy, Scotland, Israel, UK, Canada...) and which were selected by Antony Coia, Domiziano Cristopharo and Barbara Torretti.
The selected films were submitted to the jury consisting of:
- Antonio Tentori: Italian screenwriter historian for Dario Argento, Lucio Fulci, Bruno Mattei, Sergio Stivaletti and Aristide Massaccesi;
- Lynn Lowry: celebrated American actress as well as horror icon ("The City Will Be Destroyed at Dawn," "Shivers - The Demon Under the Skin");
- Stephen Biro: founder of Unearthed Films and creator of the extreme saga "American Guinea Pig."
- Poison Rouge: director of "American Guinea Pig: Sacrifice."
