Adam Peiper (Spain - 2015), the sci-fi/horror short film written and directed by Mónica Mateo.
In Adam Peiper, a man (Luis Bermejo) works tirelessly inside a futuristic factory. Sitting at his desk, he is the attendant in charge of placing tickets in paper envelopes. Observing the efficiency of his task is a pair of colleagues.
In the cast: Luis Bermejo, Octavi Pujades and Maru Valdivielso.
Photography is by Willy Jáuregui while the soundtrack is by Roly Witherow.

The Veiled (Australia - 2017) scritto e diretto da Joshua Long.
The Veiled addresses the theme of dementia by placing it in a dramatic/horror context.
Plot: A daughter cares for her father suffering from Alzheimer's disease. To the sorrow and suffering triggered by her parent's sad health condition, much anger will overtake her when she comes across a shocking past.
John E. Regan Monette Lee and Val Lehman are part of the cast.

Hope (Norway - 2017), Adam Losurdo's ironic zombie comedy (Shifter, Flicker).
The script for the film was written by the director himself in collaboration with Chris Stival.
Plot: Karl (Herman Ljung Opedal) is a harmless zombie who is abused by hateful humans. When everything seems empty and meaningless, here is when something unthinkable happens for the tender undead that will make his heart flutter and, at the same time, make him fight for what he believes in.
In the cast: Herman Ljung Opedal, Tor Andre Andreassen, Line Beck, Tonje Brattås, Felin Hellseggå, Joe Pike, and Kristine Østberg.

Bride of Frankie (USA - 2017), un cortometraggio in bianco e nero scritto e diretto da Devi Snively, regista americana che ha alle spalle diversi cortometraggi horror ("Death in Charge", "I Spit on Eli Roth", "Last Seen on Dolores Street") e del lungo "Trippin'".
Bride of Frankie è una rivisitazione in chiave ironica dell'intramontabile classico di Mary Shelley, un cortometraggio vintage in cui si scorgono omaggi a "La bambola del Diavolo" (1936) di Tod Browning.
Plot: A scientist builds Shelley, the companion for her lone creature. The results of her experiments, however, will have electrifying and deadly consequences.
The cast includes: Circus-Szalewski, Mark Lancaster, Sarah Jane Murray, Jessica Ridenour, and Rachel Sledd.

Purgatory (Mexico - 2017) by Adrian Landeros, a Mexican photographer, producer and director (Soul and Mud, I Just Wanted to Kiss You, Continuos).
Plot: A life of suffering drives a young musician to take his own life. His soul will thus be condemned to relive the bleakest episodes he experienced by drawing on a reality filled with memories, symbolism and inner demons.
In the cast: Armando Holzer, Hector Molina, Hector Trejo, Alicia Camps.
The screenplay for this surreal horror is by Adrian Landeros and Juan Pablo Elorriaga.
