On September 26, we published the list of all Official Selections of the fourth edition of the The Optical Film Festival 2018 The winners will be announced on Saturday, October 6.
Today, however, the trailer is available, featuring various sequences from the films (short and feature films) in competition.
In collaboration with the ProLoco of Lugo, the’Optical Fest will take place on October 6 and 7 at Sala del Carmine, 16 Garibaldi Street, Lugo (Ravenna).
From the entries received from all over the world, three feature films were selected for the category BEST FEATURE FILM or “Lost in Apocalypse", "Beloved Beast" e "Amazon Hot Box".
In the category BEST SHORT FILM Eight short films are competing: “Kiss the Devil in the Dark", "Fears", "The Stare", "Like every morning", "The Music of John Low", "C L A W", "La Guarida – The Den" e "Rewind".
In BEST TRASH SHORT FILM we find “The Jerry Show" e "Termitator” while in BEST BIZARRE there are “The Hobbyist" e "Tauro".

The selected works were evaluated by a prestigious international jury composed of:
- Lynn Lowry: celebrated American actress as well as horror icon ("The City Will Be Destroyed at Dawn," "Shivers - The Demon Under the Skin");
- Antonio Tentori: Italian screenwriter historian for Dario Argento, Lucio Fulci, Bruno Mattei, Sergio Stivaletti and Aristide Massaccesi;
- Stephen Biro: founder of Unearthed Films and creator of the “American Guinea Pig” saga;
- Poison Rouge: director of "American Guinea Pig: Sacrifice."
