Black Fawn Films and Breakthrough Entertainment Inc. the team behind the horror films I'll Take Your Dead, Let Her Out and Antisocial, have released the official trailer and poster of The Oak Room (Canada - 2020), a dark thriller set in a remote Canadian town ravaged by winter and highlighting the relationship between father and son.
Written by Peter Genoway and directed by Cody Calahan (Antisocial, Let Her Out), The Oak Room was presented as a cross between It's not a country for old men and Frailty - No one is safe.
Plot: During a violent snowstorm, a drifter reaches the bar in the small Canadian town where he was born. When the man offers to settle an old debt with the bartender, the events of the night quickly turn into a story enlivened by mistaken identities and shocking violence.
In the cast: RJ Mitte (Breaking Bad), Peter Outerbridge (Suicide Squad), Ari Millen (I'll Take Your Dead), Martin Roach (The Chronicles of the Living Dead), Nicholas Campbell (Antiviral), David Ferry (The Boondock Saints) and Amos Crawley (The Virgin Suicides).
The Oak Room is produced by Chad Archibald, Cody Calahan and Ari Millen while Ira Levy, Nat Abraham, Michael McGuigan and Mark Myers are the executive producers.
Jeff Maher handled the photography and also appears in the production of the film.
