The Nun, the spin-off of the saga The Conjuring, will be released on July 13, 2018.
To direct The Nun will be Corin Hardy, known for the horror film The Hallow (2015) and for also currently being involved in the remake of The Raven, again as a director.
The screenplay for the film is co-written by Gary Dauberman and James Wan. The latter is also its producer along with Peter Safran.
Protagonist of The Nun is the possessed nun already presented in The Conjuring - The Enfield Case:
Recall that the two chapters of the franchise about the Warren demonologists (played by Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga) are directed by James Wan: The Conjuring - The Conjuring (2013) e The Conjuring - The Enfield Case (2016).
Two spin-offs are related to the saga: Annabelle (2014) and precisely The Nun (2018).
