Universal Pictures has shared, online, the Italian trailer for. The Northman (U.S., UK - 2022), the film about Vikings directed by Robert Eggers (The Witch, The Lighthouse) and featuring in the cast such actors and actresses as Alexander Skarsgård (Melancholia), Willem Dafoe (Antichrist), Nicole Kidman (The Others) and Anya Taylor-Joy (The VVitch).
The film will debut in U.S. theaters on April 22, 2022 while it will arrive in Italian theaters six days later that is on April 28.
Set in 10th-century Iceland, the story of The Northman stars Alexander Skarsgård as Amleth, a Viking prince who intends to avenge his father who was murdered many years earlier when he was a child.
In addition to the aforementioned actors, the cast includes Ethan Hawke (Sinister), Claes Bang and Icelandic singer-songwriter and composer Bjork along with her daughter Ísadóra Bjarkardóttir Barney.
The screenplay of The Northman was written by Robert Eggers in collaboration with Icelandic writer and poet Sjón.
Mark Huffam, New Regency and Lars Knudsen (the producer of The VVitch, Midsommar, The Hereditary) instead appear in the production of the film.
