The Northman: first clip and three character posters from Robert Eggers' film

Online the first clip of The Northman (USA, UK - 2022), the film about Vikings directed by Robert Eggers (The Witch, The Lighthouse).
The Northman will arrive in Italian theaters on April 21 distributed by Universal Pictures.
The film received an R rating (banned for under 17s) due to the presence of "strong violent and sexual content, nudity" in the project.

Set in 10th-century Iceland, the story stars Alexander Skarsgård (Melancholia) as Amleth, a Viking prince who intends to avenge his father who was murdered many years earlier when he was a child.

The cast includes several celebrated actors including Willem Dafoe (Antichrist), Nicole Kidman (The Others), Anya Taylor-Joy (The VVitch) and Ethan Hawke (Sinister). They were joined by Claes Bang and Icelandic singer/songwriter/composer Bjork along with their daughter Ísadóra Bjarkardóttir Barney.

The screenplay is a collaboration between Robert Eggers and Icelandic writer/poet Sjón.
Mark Huffam, New Regency and Lars Knudsen (the producer of The VVitch, Midsommar, The Hereditary) appear in the production of the film.
