Twenty years after his performance in the drama film Dancer in the Dark, Björk returns to acting in. The Northman, the new film by Robert Eggers, the director of the acclaimed The VVitch and the recent The Lighthouse.

For this new project, Robert Eggers has decided to focus on a stellar cast by also involving Nicole Kidman (The Others), Alexander Skarsgård (Melancholia), Anya Taylor-Joy (the star of "The VVitch"), Bill Skarsgård ("IT" by Andy Muschietti) and Willem Dafoe ("The Lighthouse").
The screenplay of The Northman is by the director himself in collaboration with Icelandic poet and writer Sjón Sigurdsson. Lars Knudsen, the producer of Midsommar.
