IGN has released, online, three new images of the The Northman (USA, UK - 2022), the film about Vikings directed by Robert Eggers, the director of The Witch and The Lighthouse.
The photos capture Alexander Skarsgård (Melancholia), Willem Dafoe (Antichrist) and Ethan Hawke (Sinister).
Distributed by Universal Pictures, the film will arrive in Italian theaters on April 28.
Set in 10th-century Iceland, the story of The Northman stars Alexander Skarsgård as Amleth, a Viking prince who intends to avenge his father who was murdered many years earlier when he was very young.
Completing the cast are Nicole Kidman (The Others), Anya Taylor-Joy (The VVitch), Claes Bang and Icelandic singer-songwriter and composer Bjork along with her daughter Ísadóra Bjarkardóttir Barney.
The screenplay is by the director himself in collaboration with Icelandic writer and poet Sjón.
Mark Huffam, New Regency and Lars Knudsen (the producer of The VVitch, Midsommar, The Hereditary) instead appear in the production of the film.
