IFC Midnight has released, online, two clips from The Night (2020), the Iranian psychological horror film produced, written and directed by Kourosh Ahari, the director of the horror shorts The Secret of 40 and In Passing.
According to the press kit, The Night “follows in the footsteps of Shining, drawing viewers into a hotel that is eerie and at the same time also inviting, where the ghosts of the past are omnipresent.”.
Plot: After an evening out with friends, Babak (Shahab Hosseini) reaches the eerie Hotel Normandie with his wife Neda (Niousha Noor) and their child. During the endless night spent inside the hotel that will serve as a trap, a malevolent force will force the couple to face their deepest secrets.

The script for the film was written by the director himself in collaboration with Milad Jarmooz.
