After the two posters released a few days ago, the official trailer for The Neon Demon, the new film by Nicolas Winding Refn (Drive). In the title role we find Elle Fanning (Maleficent). The young actress plays an aspiring model who goes to live in Los Angeles in the hope of fulfilling her dream. Here, her beauty and radiance will arouse the envy of a group of unhappy girls who will do the impossible to take away everything she possesses.
The director was responsible for the screenplay of The Neon Demon along with Polly Stenham and Mary Laws while the cast includes, in addition to Elle Fanning, Jena Malone, Keanu Reeves, Alessandro Nivola, Karl Glusman, Bella Heathcote (Dark Shadows), Desmond Harrington, Abbey Lee and Christina Hendricks. The soundtrack is by Cliff Martinez.
The film will premiere at the Cannes Film Festival next month. It will then be released in U.S. theaters in June thanks to Amazon Studios. Nothing is known about a possible Italian distribution.
