È already available for a few days the official Italian poster of The Neon Demon, the horror thriller by Nicolas Winding Refn (Drive). The film will see the light of day in Italian cinemas from June 8, 2016 (in advance of the U.S. date of June 24), thanks to the collaboration between Koch Media and Lucisano Media Group. In addition, The Neon Demon will be presented in Competition at the 69th Cannes Film Festival on Friday, May 20.
Plot: Jesse (Elle Fanning) is an aspiring model who moves to Los Angeles to fulfill her dream. Here colleagues, envious of her beauty, will do the impossible to take away everything she possesses and make sure to ruin her life.
The screenplay involves Nicolas Winding Refn himself along with Polly Stenham and Mary Laws.
The cast instead consists of Elle Fanning, Jena Malone, Keanu Reeves, Alessandro Nivola, Desmond Harrington, Karl Glusman, Bella Heathcote (Dark Shadows), Abbey Lee, and Christina Hendricks.
The soundtrack is by Cliff Martinez.
