Rob Zombie shared an image on Instagram from the set with the protagonists of The Monsters, the film adaptation of The Munsters, the well-known CBS horror sitcom that debuted in the U.S. in 1964 and consists of two seasons, of 38 and 32 episodes each.
The photo posted by the U.S. musician, producer, and director features his wife Sheri Moon Zombie, Jeff Daniel Phillips, and Dan Roebuck (as Lily Munster, Herman Munster, and Grandpa Munster, respectively) sitting in front of the sinister manor house.
With this image, Rob Zombie confirms the presence of the three actors in the cast and also shows that he has remained faithful to the TV series whose same characters he impeccably reprises.
Rob Zombie made his directorial debut in 2003 with The house of 1000 bodies followed two years later by The devil's house. Over the years he continued his directing career in the horror field by successfully directing the reboot Halloween - The Beginning, the sequel Halloween II, The Witches of Salem (2012), 31 (2016) and 3 from Hell (2019).
The Munsters originated as a TV series in the 1960s and tells the story of a monster family that leaves Transylvania and moves to an American suburb. Over the years, films have been made and Monsters 20 years later (1988), a sequel television series.
The Munsters (2021) by Rob Zombie is a Universal film and may be a Peacock exclusive.
