The Munsters: first trailer for Rob Zombie's new film

After the various photos and videos from the set, the first teaser trailer of The Munsters, the film adaptation of the CBS horror sitcom of the same name that made its U.S. debut in 1964.
Targeted by Universal, The Munsters features musician and director Rob Zombie (House of 1,000 Bodies, House of the Devil) as director and will arrive in theaters this fall and on the Peacock streaming platform distributed by Universal Pictures.

The film has been rated PG or "Parental Guidance" (thus recommended for viewing with an adult present in the case of children) due to some scary scenes, images, language and content.

In the cast of The Munsters there are Jeff Daniel Phillips as Herman Munster, Sheri Moon Zombie as Lily Munster, Dan Roebuck as Grandpa Munster, Sylvester McCoy as the servant Igor, Richard Brake as Dr. Wolfgang, Joe Garcia as Floop (a new character and Dr. Wolfgang's assistant), Catherine Schell as Zoya Krupp "the Gypsy Queen," and Cassandra Peterson (known by her stage name "Elvira, Mistress of Darkness") as real estate agent Barbara Carr.
The screenplay for the film is by Rob Zombie himself.

Composed of two seasons, of 38 and 32 episodes each, The Munsters originated as a TV series in the 1960s and tells the story of a family of monsters who leave Transylvania and move to an American suburb. Several films have been made over the years and also the sequel TV series The Monsters Twenty Years Later (1988).
