With a message on Instagram, Rob Zombie (House of 1000 Bodies, House of the Devil) shared a new photo from the set of The Munsters. L'attrice statunitense Cassandra Peterson è nota con il nome d'arte "Elvira, Padrona dell'Oscurità ": una sexy dark lady gotica (attiva tra il 1974 e il 1998) che presentava una rubrica di film horror in TV.
Targeted by Universal, The Munsters is the film adaptation of the CBS horror sitcom of the same name that debuted in the US in 1964.
Recentemente il film è stato classificato come PG ovvero "Parental Guidance" (consigliabile quindi per la visione con la presenza di un adulto nel caso dei bambini) per alcune scene, immagini, linguaggio e contenuti spaventosi.
The confirmed cast of The Munsters vede Jeff Daniel Phillips come Herman Munster, Sheri Moon Zombie come Lily Munster, Dan Roebuck come Nonno Munster, Sylvester McCoy come il domestico Igor, Richard Brake come Dr. Wolfgang, Joe Garcia come Floop (nuovo personaggio e assistente del Dr. Wolfgang) e Catherine Schell come Zoya Krupp "la regina gitana".
Composed of two seasons, of 38 and 32 episodes each, The Munsters originated as a TV series in the 1960s and tells the story of a monster family that leaves Transylvania and moves to an American suburb.
The members of this strange family are: father Herman, a sort of Frankenstein's creature; mother Lily, a vampire modeled after the famous The Wife of Frankenstein; grandfather, a vampire dressed in the "classic" outfit made famous by Bela Lugosi; werewolf son Eddie Wolfgang; and granddaughter Marilyn, the only "normal" person in the family.
Several films have been made over the years and also the sequel television series Monsters 20 years later (1988).
