Esordirà l'8 giugno nelle sale italiane The Mummy (USA - 2017) thanks to Universal Pictures. In anticipation of the release, a first Italian clip revealing the origins of Princess Ahmanet was released today. Directed by Alex Kurtzman, this dark action/fantasy offers a new take on The Mummy with new gods and monsters moving from the desert to a modern London to set off a terrible confrontation. Starring Tom Cruise, Sofia Boutella and Russell Crowe, The Mummy is a remake of the 1999 film of the same name and is also the first film in the Dark Universe.
Plot: Ahmanet (Sofia Boutella), whose body has lain for millennia in a crypt buried in the desert, is awakened in the present day. Unjustly taken from life, the ancient queen will unleash hell by externalizing all the hatred and wickedness accumulated over the centuries. The first to succumb to the mysterious supernatural forces of the creature will be some soldiers who, convinced they are in a bunker, will discover too late that they are actually inside a tomb.
The script of The Mummy was written by Jon Spaihts in collaboration with Christopher McQuarrie.
The cast includes Tom Cruise, Sofia Boutella, Russell Crowe, Annabelle Wallis, Chasty Ballesteros, Jake Johnson, Javier Botet, Courtney B. Vance, Noof McEwan and Marwan Kenzari.
