The story of The Mean One takes its cue from The Grinch (1957), a short story with illustrations by U.S. writer and cartoonist Dr. Seuss and will arrive in U.S. theaters on Dec. 9.
In a small mountain town, young Cindy (Krystle Martin) loses her parents to the Grinch, a ruthless green, furry being who detests Christmas. When the ravenous creature begins terrorizing the town and threatening to ruin the holiday, Cindy will try to trap and kill it.
