The Lodgers (Ireland - 2017) will have its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 8, 2017.
Protagonisti di questa cupa storia gotica sono Edward (Bill Milner) e Rachel (Charlotte Vega), due gemelli orfani tormentati da un maleficio che li costringe a vivere segregati in un'inquietante villa situata nell'Irlanda rurale degli anni '20. Nell’abitazione però si celano entità che li controllano e li obbligano a rispettare tre regole (andare a letto entro la mezzanotte, non far entrare sconosciuti in casa, rimanere sempre insieme). Quando il destino li separerà, Edward e Rachel dovranno confrontarsi con gli iracondi spettri che da sempre hanno perseguitato loro famiglia.
The cast of The Lodgers consists of Bill Milner, Charlotte Vega ([REC] 3: Genesis), David Bradley (The Strain), Moe Dunford, Deirdre O'Kane,Eugene Simon and Roisin Murphy.
The film is produced by Ruth Treacy and Julianne Forde of Tailored Films while the executive producers are Patrick Ewald and Shaked Berenson (Epic Pictures Group).
The film was shot in Loftus Hall (or “Devil's Abode”), the most haunted house in Ireland.
