This is a ghost story that takes place in the 1940s in a ruined mansion in Warwickshire, England.
Mr. Faraday (Domhnall Gleeson) practices medicine in his country mansion. In the scorching summer of 1947, the doctor reaches Hundreds Hall to treat a patient. This now ruined 18th-century estate was once owned by the Ayres family. Here inolte, the doctor's mother had served as a maid. When Dr. Faraday takes charge of the new patient, the history of the estate's former owners will inexorably affect his life and strange phenomena will begin to occur.
