L'attore britannico Robert Pattinson, noto per aver interpretato il vampiro Edward Cullen nella saga Twilight, will be among the protagonists of The Lighthouse. Trattasi del nuovo film horror di Robert Eggers, il regista dell'acclamato The Witch (USA, UK, Canada - 2015) con Anya Taylor-Joy.
The film will be distributed by A24, the company that handled the theatrical distribution of The Witch.
The story of The Lighthouse will embrace terrifying legends that have to do with the sea and desolate lighthouses.
Nel cast di questo nuovo progetto, oltre a Robert Pattinson, è già stato confermato anche il celebre attore statunitense Willem Dafoe ("Antichrist", "Daybreakers - L'ultimo vampiro", "My Son, My Son, What Have Ye Done"). Le riprese del film (la cui sceneggiatura è a firma di Robert e Max Eggers) inizieranno questa primavera.
