Starting today, the long-awaited The Lighthouse is available on Amazon Prime and other VOD platforms (Chili, Rakuten, and Apple) in Italian, both as a rental and for digital purchase.
The Lighthouse was supposed to arrive in theaters around this time but the Coronavirus emergency made its theatrical release impossible.
Amazon Prime Video released the film in the U.S. as early as April 16, and today the digital version finally arrives in our country.

Shot in 35mm, black and white, The Lighthouse is written and directed by Robert Eggers (The VVitch) and stars Robert Pattinson and Willem Dafoe, here as two lighthouse keepers.
The film had its world premiere at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival in the "Directors' Fortnight," where it was awarded "Best Film."

The story is based on the terrifying legends of the sea and desolate lighthouses and takes place during the early 1900s on a remote New England island.
Plot: Thomas (Willem Dafoe) and Ephraim (Robert Pattinson) are two lighthouse keepers who lead lives isolated from the rest of the world. Over time, however, the two's obsessions and madness will take over, turning them against each other.

The cast of The Lighthouse consists of Robert Pattinson (Twilight), Willem Dafoe (Antichrist, Daybreakers - The Last Vampire) and Valeriia Karaman.
The screenplay, on the other hand, is by Robert Eggers in collaboration with Max Eggers.
