Da oggi l’atteso The Lighthouse è disponibile su Amazon Prime e su altre piattaforme VOD (Chili, Rakuten e Apple) in lingua italiana, sia in versione noleggio che per l’acquisto digitale.
The Lighthouse sarebbe dovuto arrivare nelle sale in questo periodo ma l’emergenza Coronavirus ne ha reso impossibile l’uscita al cinema.
Amazon Prime Video ha distribuito il film negli USA già dal 16 aprile e oggi la versione digitale arriva finalmente anche nel nostro Paese.
Shot in 35mm, black and white, The Lighthouse is written and directed by Robert Eggers (The VVitch) and stars Robert Pattinson and Willem Dafoe, here as two lighthouse keepers.
Il film è stato presentato in anteprima mondiale al Festival di Cannes 2019 nella “Quinzaine des Réalisateurs”, dove è stato premiato come “Miglior Film”.
The story is based on the terrifying legends of the sea and desolate lighthouses and takes place during the early 1900s on a remote New England island.
Plot: Thomas (Willem Dafoe) and Ephraim (Robert Pattinson) are two lighthouse keepers who lead lives isolated from the rest of the world. Over time, however, the two's obsessions and madness will take over, turning them against each other.
The cast of The Lighthouse è composto da Robert Pattinson (Twilight), Willem Dafoe (Antichrist, Daybreakers – L’ultimo vampiro) e Valeriia Karaman.
La sceneggiatura invece è a cura di Robert Eggers in collaborazione con Max Eggers.
