According to what was revealed by theHollywood Reporter, André Øvredal (Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, Autopsy) is in talks to direct the horror film The Last Voyage of the Demeter, the new film adaptation of Dracula (1897) by Bram Stoker. Neill Marshall (Dog Soldiers, The Descent - Descent into Darkness) was initially assigned to direct this project, which has been in the works for a decade now.
Written by Bragi Schut (Escape Room), The Last Voyage of the Demeter focuses on the voyage and massacre of the crew aboard the Demeter, the ship that transported the coffin of the famous vampire from Transylvania to London.
The film is produced by Bradley Fischer, Mike Medavoy and Arnold Messer.
We remember you that Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, the new film directed by André Øvredal, will arrive at the cinema on October 24.
