The Knocking is the title of the new horror film written by Matt Leslie and Stephen J. Smith, the screenwriters of Summer of 84 (USA, Canada - 2018) directed by François Simard, Anouk Whissell and Yoann-Karl Whissell.
The Knocking marks the directorial debut of the aforementioned duo, who compared it to Hereditary by Ari Aster and described it as a horror-mystery romance concerning a Faustian affair and in which there will be a grand finale.
Initially set for April, the shooting The Knocking have been postponed because of the coronavirus pandemic.
Abiel Bruhn co-wrote the screenplay for this new project with Matt Leslie and Stephen J. Smith.
