Tilda Swinton (Solo gli amanti sopravvivono, Suspiria) e Michael Fassbender (Bastardi senza gloria, Prometheus) hanno raggiunto il cast di The Killer, il film di genere thriller scritto da Andrew Kevin Walker e che vede in cabina di regia David Fincher (Se7en). Secondo quanto riportato da The Playlist, le riprese saranno avviate il prossimo anno.
Produced by Netflix, The Killer è l’adattamento cinematografico dell’omonimo comic book (1998) a cura dello scrittore francese Alexis Nolent e dell’illustratore Luc Jacamon.
The story of The Killer follows the events of a dangerous and ruthless murderer who begins to develop guilt feelings that lead him to have an emotional breakdown.
Il progetto è in cantiere dal 2007: inizialmente doveva essere prodotto da Paramount, con Brad Pitt come protagonista e adesso Netflix ne ha acquisito i diritti.
David Fincher è il regista di molti film di successo come Alien³, Fight Club, Panic Room, Zodiac and Millennium - Men Who Hate Women.
In addition to the screenplay of Se7en, Andrew Kevin Walker, on the other hand, also worked on the script of 8mm - Crime in Red Light, Sleepy Hollow and The Wolfman (2010).
