The Invitation is a contemporary horror thriller whose release date has been set for August 26, 2022.
Plot: After the death of her mother and having no other relatives, Evie (Nathalie Emmanuel) takes a DNA test only to discover she has a cousin. Invited by her newfound family to a lavish wedding in the English countryside, the girl is seduced by a mysterious guest. From that moment, Evie will live a nightmare as some twisted secrets in her family history emerge into the light.
Produced by Emile Gladstone for Screen Gems, the film is written by Blair Butler (the screenwriter of Hell Fest and Polaroid) in collaboration with Jessica M. Thompson herself.
