Si è tenuta ieri al Festival di Cannes l'anteprima di The House that Jack Built by Lars Von Trier. Presented Out of Competition, the film shocked the audience in attendance during the premiere because of strong scenes that were violent to the point of forcing a hundred viewers to leave the theater.

The House That Jack Built will be released in Denmark on November 29, 2018, while in Italy it will arrive in the fall thanks to Videa.
The House That Jack Built vede come protagonista Matt Dillon, qui nel ruolo di uno spietato serial killer (figura chiaramente ispirata a "Jack lo squartatore") di cui viviamo la storia attraverso il suo punto di vista. Il film, in particolare, fa luce su cinque omicidi compiuti dall'assassino.
Stati Uniti, 1970. Jack (Matt Dillon) è un ingegnere che subisce il fascino della morte dopo aver ucciso una donna che aveva soccorso per strada. L’evento porterà l'uomo a commettere altri omicidi per raggiungere la perfezione collezionando altre macabre “opere d’arte”. L’obiettivo è quello di realizzare il suo più grande capolavoro ovvero una collezione di tutti i suoi omicidi all’interno di una casa da lui stesso costruita.
The cast includes Matt Dillon, Uma Thurman (Kill Bill), Riley Keough, Ed Speleers (Howl, Love Bite), Siobhan Fallon Hogan, Bruno Ganz, Sofie Gråbøl, David Bailie, and Ji-tae Yu.
The House That Jack Built is a co-production between Germany, France, Sweden and Denmark. The film is produced by Von Trier's Zentropa Entertainments in collaboration with Copenhagen Film Fund.
