These days Disney released, online, a commercial and several posters of the horror comedy The house of ghosts (aka Haunted Mansion).
Produced by Guillermo del Toro and directed by Justin Simien (Bad Hair), The house of ghosts is the new film adaptation inspired by the famous attraction found at all Disney amusement parks and will arrive in theaters on July 28, 2023.
The film boasts a distinguished cast that includes Jamie Lee Curtis (Halloween), Rosario Dawson (Sin City), Owen Wilson (An Amateur's Strike), Danny DeVito (War of the Roses), Jared Leto (Suicide Squad), Winona Ryder (Bram Stoker's Dracula), and LaKeith Stanfield (Dinner with Murder - Knives Out).
Plot: A single mother named Gabbie (Rosario Dawson) has just bought, at an oddly bargain price, a mansion in New Orleans to start a new life with her 9-year-old son, Travis (Chase W. Dillon). Only after the purchase, however, does the woman realize that the home is haunted by ghosts. Desperate for help to drive out the entities, Gabbie turns to a priest, who will contact a paranormal scientist, a French psychic, and an irascible historian to exorcise the house...
