TetroVideo has announced the distribution of The House Guest (2020), the supernatural horror film directed by Domiziano Cristopharo (Xpiation, TetroManiac: eROTik) during lockdown.
The film will be available in September as a Bookbox edition (DVD + poster) with TetroVideo and will have subtitles in Italian, English, French and German.
Performed by Daniele Arturi, The House Guest is a ghost story with clear references to 1980s cinema (Lucio Fulci, Pupi Avati and Frank Henenlotter) in which there is no shortage of practical effects by Domiziano Cristopharo himself. The latter was also in charge of cinematography, soundtrack and also wrote the screenplay together with Andrea Cavaletto, an Italian cartoonist and screenwriter with whom the director has also collaborated on other films (Doll Syndrome, The Transparent Woman, Xpiation).
Plot: Daniel is a lonely student who moves into a new apartment where strange phenomena lead him to believe that the suicide of the previous tenant was caused by the presence of a very vengeful ghost.
