TetroVideo has announced the distribution of The House Guest (2020), the supernatural horror film directed by Domiziano Cristopharo (Xpiation, TetroManiac: eROTik) during lockdown.
The film will be available in September as a Bookbox edition (DVD + poster) with TetroVideo and will have subtitles in Italian, English, French and German.
Performed by Daniele Arturi, The House Guest è una storia di fantasmi con chiari rimandi al cinema degli anni '80 (Lucio Fulci, Pupi Avati e Frank Henenlotter) in cui non manca una buona dose di practical effects a cura dello stesso Domiziano Cristopharo. Quest’ultimo si è occupato anche della fotografia, della colonna sonora e ha anche scritto la sceneggiatura insieme ad Andrea Cavaletto, fumettista e sceneggiatore italiano con cui il regista ha collaborato anche in altri film (Doll Syndrome, The Transparent Woman, Xpiation).
Plot: Daniel is a lonely student who moves into a new apartment where strange phenomena lead him to believe that the suicide of the previous tenant was caused by the presence of a very vengeful ghost.
