Harrison Smith, il regista dell'infernale Death House, is grappling with a new project titled The Special. While Death House è stato definito "The Expendables of Horror" per la presenza, nel cast, di tantissime icone, The Special was presented as a cross between Fatal Attraction and Blob - Fluido mortale.
The film will go into production in January.
The story of The Special si concentra su Jerry, un uomo che confida al suo migliore amico Mike di avere una moglie infedele. Da quel momento, i due si lasceranno andare a notti di piacere all'insegna della trasgressione. Tutto però ha il suo prezzo e, una volta sperimentato "The Special", è difficile trovare qualcosa di meglio.
Nel cast sono presenti Damian Maffei (The Strangers - Prey at Night), Davy Raphaely e Sara French.
The script for the film was written by Mark Steensland and James Newman while the FX/practical effects are by Roy Knyrim of SOTA FX (Insidious 4, Sinister, Gods and Monsters).
