The Holy Evil: Italian trailer and posters for the horror film coming to theaters in May

Online the Italian poster and trailer for the The sacred evil (aka The Unholy), the film adaptation of Shrine, a novel written in 1983 by James Herbert. The film will debut in Italian theaters on May 20 with Sony Pictures.
Produced by Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert (Ghost House Pictures) in collaboration with Screen Gems, The sacred evil features Evan Spiliotopoulos (Beauty and the Beast) in the directing booth, who also handled the screenplay.

The sacred evil is played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan (The Walking Dead), here as a journalist investigating a young woman who can perform miracles.
Plot: Alice (Cricket Brown) is a hearing-impaired girl who, after a supposed visitation by the Virgin Mary, is inexplicably able to hear, speak and heal the sick. As word spreads and people flock to witness her miracles, Gerry Fenn (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), a disgraced journalist, reaches the small New England town to investigate the case, hoping to revive his career. When terrifying events begin to happen around the miracle worker, the journalist will question whether or not these phenomena have a divine origin.
