Black Fawn Films has revealed the official trailer and poster for. The Heretics (Canada - 2017), the horror film about pagan cults directed by Chad Archibald, the director of The Drownsman and Bite. The Heretics is produced by director Cody Calahan (Antisocial, Let Her Out) and Chad Archibald, the founders of the Black Fawn Films label.
The film had its world premiere at the 2017 Canadian Film Fest.
Plot: A girl is kidnapped by an unknown man who claims to be trying to protect her, until dawn, from a dangerous cult that is hunting her. During the hours with her captor, however, the young woman becomes seriously ill. Only the passage of time will reveal the true origin of her illness whose final stage is not death but mutation.
The screenplay for the film is by Jayme Laforest. The cast includes: Nina Kiri, Jorja Cadence, Ry Barrett, Will King, Nina Richmond, Caleigh Le Grand, Rachel Sellan, Austin Duffy, and Sid McMillan.
