On October 14, it will be released in U.S. theaters The Handmaiden (aka Ah-ga-ssi), the new film by Park Chan-wook, the director of the revenge trilogy (Mr. Vengeance, Oldboy and Lady Vendetta), Thirst and Stoker.
The Handmaiden (Corea del Sud - 2016) è un film di genere drammatico-erotico dalle sfumature noir, il cui trailer ufficiale rivela bellissime immagini che traducono non solo tanto erotismo e sensualità ma anche velate parafilie.
La storia vede protagonista Sook-Hee (Tae Ri Kim), una ragazza giapponese che viene assunta come ancella della giovane ereditiera Lady Hideko (Min-hee Kim). La serva in realtà è una borseggiatrice reclutata da un conte che intende sedurre la ragazza nobile, derubarla della sua fortuna e rinchiuderla in manicomio. Il piano sembra procedere come programmato fino a quando l'ancella e la sua signora non scopriranno forti emozioni inaspettate.

Small note: Sook-Hee, the lady-in-waiting (handmaiden), is not Japanese, but Korean. Lady Hideko is Japanese (but often speaks in Korean because of her disdain for Japanese, the language in which the books she is forced to read to entertain her uncle and his guests are written).
