The Great Buddha Arrival (aka Daibutsu Kaikoju) gode di due nuovi poster realizzati da Yoshiki Takahashi, l'artista che si è occupato delle locandine di film come The Machine Girl, Tokyo Gore Police, Yattaman by Takashi Miike and many others. Produced and directed by Hiroto Yokokawa, The Great Buddha Arrival (Giappone - 2018) è un film sui kaijū (i mostri tipici della fantascienza giapponese) e omaggia la saga Daimajin of the 1960s dedicated to "Daimajin" or the "great god-demon."

The screenplay of The Great Buddha Arrival was written by Hiroto Yokokawa, Yuki Yonezawa, and Kazuma Yoneyama. The music, on the other hand, is by Hiromi Shinoda.
