L'estate scorsa vi abbiamo parlato di The Funhouse Massacre (link all'articolo), the horror comedy directed by Andy Palmer and starring horror icons such as the legendary Robert Englund, Clint Howard and Courtney Gains. Thanks to Scream Factory, this film will see the light of day on DVD and Blu-ray starting June 7, 2016.
Trama: durante la notte di Halloween, sei pericolosi psicopatici nonché assassini, scappano dal manicomio di massima sicurezza (lo Statesville Asylum) per poi raggiungere un luna park che si trova in zona. Qui, ognuno di loro gestirà un diverso regno del terrore di cui è composta l'attrazione, integrandosi nello show al fine di uccidere gli ignari visitatori. Le uniche persone rimaste in vita e che potrebbero fermarli, sono un gruppo di ragazzi del college, un deputato e lo sceriffo locale. Quest'ultimo, in particolare, sembra avere un'ossessione per il capo dei maniaci ovvero per Mental Manny, il diavolo dalla lingua d'argento.
The screenplay is by Ben Begley and Renee Dorian. In the cast, in addition to Robert Englund (as the asylum warden), Clint Howard (Ticks - Blood Larvae) and Courtney Gains (Children of the Corn), are Sebastian Siegel (Lost), Jere Burns (Justified) and Scottie Thompson.
The special effects supervisor is the well-known Robert Kurtzman (It Follows, Fear Clinic, Texas Chainsaw, Hulk).
The Funhouse Massacre è stato presentato in anteprima all'HorrorHound Weekend Convention Film Festival dove ha vinto come Miglior Film e Migliori Effetti Speciali.
