With 20th Century Studios comes online the official trailer for. The First Omen (USA - 2024), the prequel to the The Omen (aka The Omen), a horror classic about the Antichrist directed by Richard Donner in 1976.
Directed by Arkasha Stevenson (Legion), here in her first feature film, The First Omen will debut in U.S. theaters on April 5, 2024.
Plot: A young American woman is sent to Rome to serve the church. Once there, the nun will encounter evil that will cause her to question her own faith when she discovers that a terrifying conspiracy hopes for the birth of the Antichrist.
In the cast: Bill Nighy (Underworld), Sonia Braga (Kiss of the Spider Woman), Ralph Ineson (The Witch), Nell Tiger Free (Servant), Andrea Arcangeli (Like sheep among wolves), Anton Alexander, Mia McGovern Zaini and Maria Caballero.
The story of The First Omen is by Ben Jacoby (Bleed) while the screenplay is by Tim Smith, Arkasha Stevenson and Keith Thomas (Firestarter).
Instead, the producers are David S. Goyer (Hellraiser) and Keith Levine (The Night House).
The Omen (1976) has had three sequels and a remake: Damien: Omen II (1978), Omen III: The Final Conflict (1981) and Omen IV: The Awakening (1991 TV movie).
The remake instead, The Omen, is from 2006.
