The trailer for The Devil's Candy (USA - 2015), the horror film that marks the return to direction of Sean Byrne, the director of The Loved Ones (2009). World premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival's Midnight Madness, The Devil's Candy will land in U.S. theaters on March 17 thanks to IFC Midnight, which will also make it available for video on demand.
Trama: l'artista Jesse Hellman (Ethan Embry) si trasferisce finalmente nella casa dei sogni, nel Texas rurale, insieme alla moglie Astrid e alla figlia adolescente Zooey. Qui però la sua vita si incupisce e i suoi dipinti, influenzati da forze sataniche, diventano lo specchio della sua anima tormentata. La famiglia, inoltre, inizierà ad aver paura di Ray (Pruitt Taylor Vince), il figlio degli ex proprietari ma forse anche lui, come Jesse, è soggiogato dal male.
Sean Byrne si è occupato altresì della sceneggiatura del film. Nel cast: Ethan Embry (Vacancy), Shiri Appleby, Kiara Glasco, Marco Perella, Pruitt Taylor Vince (The Cell - La cellula, Monster, Constantine), Craig Nigh, Oryan West e Mylinda Royer.
