The Darkest Nothing is the title of the extreme horror franchise of which as many as eight chilling films are part, totaling 12 hours of horror. Last January we had introduced one of the chapters that make up the German extreme saga viz. The Darkest Nothing: Paraphrenia (aka Das dunkelste Nichts: Paraphrenie), the thriller-horror film written, directed and starring Filip Halo (Red Like Blood, Vagina, Brutal). Halo himself was in charge of directing the films that make up this saga (which he conceived) that deals with terrifying and complex but also uncomfortable themes.
The Darkest Nothing indeed takes its cues from reality to bring in stories of murder, extreme BDSM, cannibalism, snuff footage, pedophilia, drugs, rituals, and Red Room. The protagonist of the saga is William Jameson, a psychiatrist engaged in the study of extreme behavior as well as God of the Deep Web. In fact, he will be the one to introduce and shape the eight stories:
- “Algolagnia ": William comes face to face with a killer who practices BDSM;
- “Gynophagia": a rich man asks his psychiatrist to make a film about cannibalism;
- “Ideophrenia": Jameson meets the "Butcher," a slasher-horror film actor. The latter will ask the Doctor to help him eliminate his brother who abused him at an early age;
- “Killing Trolls": the psychiatrist relives the day his daughter was kidnapped while he was in court defending himself against pornography charges;
- “Paraphrenia": William forces a girl with Fregoli syndrome to relive her experiences to show the home audience the dark side of the human mind;
- “Raptio": human trafficking is another topic in which the protagonist is very interested;
- “Snuff360": snuff videos as a reality that scares viewers;
- “Zygophrenia": The doctor analyzes Mark and Jessica's case not leaving out their addiction, but his extreme actions will have serious consequences for their relationship.
The Darkest Nothing has not yet been completed.
