Formerly titled Eight for Silver, The Cursed (UK - 2021) is a gothic horror film about lycanthropy that will debut in U.S. theaters on Feb. 18.
Written and directed by Sean Ellis (Metro Manila), the film is packed with practical effects that embellish the gore moments and has been described as a "retelling of the werewolf legend intended for a modern audience."

Plot: in the late 1800s, a man arrives in a remote French country village to investigate a wild animal attack but discovers that something far more sinister and ruthless holds the manor and all the locals in its grip.
The cast includes Boyd Holbrook (The Predator), Kelly Reilly (Eden Lake), Alistair Petrie (Hellboy),
Roxane Duran (The White Ribbon), Nigel Betts, Stuart Bowman, Simon Kunz, Amelia Crouch (The Woman in Black 2 - The Angel of Death), Max Mackintosh and Tommy Rodger.
The Cursed had its world premiere at Sundance Film Festival 2o21.
