Lionsgate has released a new trailer and two new posters for The Crucifixion (Romania, UK - 2017), the new horror film by Xavier Gens, the director of Frontiers - On the edge of hell (2007). Inspired by real events, The Crucifixion tackles the themes of demonic possession and exorcism. The new trailer in circulation offers a delicious taste of the penetrating horror dimension Gens' exorcism film (in U.S. theaters Oct. 6, 2017) seems to offer.

Plot: American journalist Nicole Rawlins (Sophie Cookson) is conducting an investigation into the death of a nun. The young woman thus embarks on a journey to investigate the accident or, as suspected, the murder of the nun who, during an exorcism, had been crucified by a priest with the help of five other nuns. During the investigation, however, disturbing and diabolical phenomena begin to occur.

In the cast of The Crucifixion we find: Sophie Cookson, Corneliu Ulici, Brittany Ashworth, Matthew Zajac, Diana Vladu, Florian Voicu, Radu Bânzaru, Javier Botet, Iván González, Emil Mandanac, Radu Andrei Micu, Olivia Nita, and Alexis Rodney
The screenplay is by Chad Hayes.
