During the CinemaCon panel, Lionsgate has pushed the release of The Crow from June 7th to August 23rd. Produced by Lionsgate, The Crow is a modern reimagining of the original graphic novel by the same name by James O’Barr and is directed by Rupert Sanders (Snow White and the Huntsman, Ghost in the Shell).
The Crow stars Bill Skarsgård (It, It Chapter Two) as Eric Draven/The Crow, a murdered musician who is resurrected to avenge the deaths of himself and his fiancée, played by FKA Twigs.
Danny Huston (30 Days of Night), Laura Birn, FKA Twigs, Sami Bouajila, David Bowles (Army of Thieves), Isabella Wei and Jordan Bolger (Don't Knock Twice) also star.
The screenplay is by Zach Baylin.
James O'Barr's graphic novel was already adapted into a film of the same name in 1994 by Alex Proyas, starring Brandon Lee.
