A bank clerk has a cross stolen that allows him not to become a wolfman on moonlit nights. In trying to recover the precious necklace, he will have to fight against the Camorra.
Unique work (in every sense) by Marco Antonio Andolfi.
Undoubtedly it is the worst Italian horror film ever, far worse than the The forest 1, often considered (and also wrongly) the standard-bearer of domestic trash.
Produced with state funding, it is a cauldron of genres, from S&M to low-level horror, from 'erotic to mafia movie.
It is very slow and disconnected, with really painful and amateurish overall acting, although some well-known actors appear, such as Mitchell, Belle and Ardisson.
The special effects cannot even be described as such: the wolfman is less realistic than a children's carnival costume, and Satan also looks like a werewolf.
The dialogues often give us unintentionally comic moments with Neapolitan speech, and there is no shortage of sex scenes, such as the S&M orgy at the beginning of the film, which is a good incipit for the trashiness to come.
In Japan it was a good success (!) with the title Talisman (And lengthened with unnecessary war scenes taken from news reports).
Andolfi (who of this "masterpiece" is director, star - so he solaces himself naked with the other actresses - screenwriter, special effects editor) also starred in the amateur Sick-o-pathics, an unobtainable 1996 episodic horror film, and in Luca Ruocco's medium-length film, Jekyll/Hide, in a double cameo.
In 2007 he returned to directing with Aborym again, a sequel to his masterpiece film. However, this medium-length film (it runs just over twenty minutes) is not as trashy as its predecessor and disappoints many of its fans.
The doubt that the director intended to make not a cult, but The Trash Horror Cult is really strong. If so, Andolfi would be the clear winner.
