In addition to Deathgasm, also The Corpse of Anna Fritz (El cadáver de Anna Fritz) will have its world premiere in March at the SXSW Film Festival in Austin, Texas. This is a Spanish film with a necrophiliac theme, directed by Hèctor Hernández Vicens. The screenplay was handled by the director himself along with Isaac P. Creus.
The plot is vaguely reminiscent of Deadgirl (2008), although in Marcel Sarmiento and Gadi Harel's film, the protagonists indulge in necrophilic acts with a female zombie.
In Hèctor Hernández Vicens' film, on the other hand, the protagonist is Anna Fritz, a well-known actress considered one of the most beautiful and attractive women in the world. Unfortunately, she dies and her body ends up in the hospital morgue where Pau, an introverted boy who likes to observe the corpses of young women, works. This time, too, he wastes no time and takes a picture of the naked and lifeless body of the famous Anna to send it to his friends who waste no time and catch up with him.
The cast includes Alba Ribas, Cristian Valencia, Bernat Saumell and Albert Carbó.
