La regia è a firma di Michael Chaves, il regista dell'horror sovrannaturale La Llorona - The Tears of Evil (The Curse of La Llorona), il nuovo film dell'universo di The Conjuring which will debut in Italian theaters on April 17, 2019 with Warner Bros. Italy.
The creators of the franchise, Peter Safran and James Wan, are the producers of the film, while Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga will reunite as the paranormal investigators.
In addition, the script of The Conjuring 3 is by David Leslie Johnson, the co-writer of The Conjuring - The Enfield Case.
In The Conjuring 3 a man accused of murder claims to have been possessed by a demon. Mr. and Mrs. Warren take an interest in the case, and during the investigation they discover some undefined paranormal activity.
