The film is directed by James Wan while Carey and Chad Hayes (remake The wax mask) and David Leslie Johnson (the screenwriter of Orphan and Blood Red Riding Hood).
Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga reprise their roles as the Warren demonologists as in the first chapter.
