chairAvailable teaser trailer of The Chair (USA - 2015), the psychological thriller directed by Chad Ferrin ("The Ghouls“, “Easter Bunny, Kill! Kill!“, “Someone knocks on the door"). The script is by Erin Kohut, who handled the story together with Peter Simeti. The Chair is based on the graphic novel of the same name published by Alterna Comics in 2008. The graphic novel is written by Peter Simeti, who co-authored the drawings with Kevin Christensen.

The Chair boasts several important names in the cast including Eric Roberts, Bill Oberst Jr. (Circus of the Dead), Brian Thompson and Zach Galligan, who are also joined by Derrick Damions, Naomi Grossman, Susan Eisenberg, Ezra Buzzington, Jacob Banser, Timothy Muskatell, Tomas Noykin and Kyle Hester. The producers of the film, on the other hand, are Peter Simeti, Erin Kohut and Derrick Damions. Also for The Chair campaign has begun on Kickstarter that has already exceeded its target budget.

novelLike Peter Simeti's graphic novel, Chad Ferrin's feature film is set in a bleak and disturbing prison that undermines the sanity of the inmates. Among them, on death row, is Richard Sullivan, who watches helplessly as torture is carried out on prisoners at the hands of a psychopathic prison guard who enjoys performing vicious acts against the weakest.

In the teaser trailer below we can get a glimpse of the dangerous executioner played by a very good Bill Oberst Jr. here in a role that seems to fit him perfectly.

The Chair Is currently in pre-production.
