Mr. and Mrs. Williams, David and Alice, move into a house located near a canal along with their few-year-old son, Billy. Soon after moving in, the man begins to suspect that his wife is deceiving him, and to disturb his mind even more, strange and disturbing visions are added that confuse him. Horrific murders that occurred there 20 years ago loom like a looming shadow in the family's present, destroying not only the couple's harmony but also their lives.
The cast of The Canal consists of Rupert Evans (Hellboy) in the title role, Hannah Hoekstra is Alice instead. In addition to the two lead actors, there are also Antonia Campbell-Hughes (Storage 24), Calum Heath, Steve Oram (Kill List), Hannah Hoekstra, Maura Foley, and Kelly Byrne. The music is by composer Ceiri Torjussen.
